Cocoa Yellow Diary
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
Cocoa Yellow Diary is a literary platform featuring narrative essays on colorism written by black female writers. The politics of skin tone in the African American community cannot be examined nor concluded based on one narrative. Therefore, our mission is to make a meaningful contribution to the black literary community by creating a space for multiple storytellers to share their unique experience as it pertains to skin tone discrimination.
“Do you have a story you would like to share? Often times when we share our story, we provide healing to ourselves as well as unlock the pain in others.”
